Our Story:

As many know. Mitch and I grew up in the same ward. I remember up until my sophomore year he was way too cool for me. He was always the kid that was so cute, but I didnt want to like a "wardy" I would go up to his house to visit his mom... we were in the same Sunday school class.. and when High School came he became very interested in one of my best friends and I in one of his. Throughout high school he became "Just Mitch Searle, my good friend, the kid dating my good friend" We hung out with the same group of friends every weekend... Dances, football games, dates. I honestly cant remember one weekend that we were not around eachother. He was my go-to friend for "guy advise".. and I remember many nights talking to him about his "girl issues" The summer after he graduated we started hanging out more and more one on one. Our first official date was 4th of July 2007. (same night of our first kiss) It was such a fun summer turning our friendship in to a relationship.

The end of August came and Mitch moved to Orem for school.. To say the least this was a depressing time in our relationship.. I also had a missionary that I was trying to be faithful to, Mitch wanted to live the collage life and prepare for a mission, and I still had my senior year of high school. My missionary ended up coming home early which threw a kink into things and Mitch decided he didn't like the idea of a high school girlfriend (jerk) Looong story short we broke up and lived our separate lives for a few months.

To say the least things didn't end up working out between my missionary and I. And Mitch saw the light (ha!) and realized I was wonderful and he couldn't live without me (ha!) Things have been pretty unstop able since then. We had our ups and downs. But I think our strong friendship is what has gotten us through those "downs"

Fastforward to December 12Th 2009. Mitchell ask me to Marry him. I was in heaven.
we have been married for 1 year and 4 months :)

1-Most Challenging thing about marriage is ... being so different on some things. Mitch and I are so opposite. And its hard sometimes. Growing up completely different has created some challenges also. But what marriage does not have that? We just look at it as its normal, except and listen to each others views on things and move on.
2-My favorite thing about my spouse is... I love so many different things. He is so caring and protective of me, he jumps at any opportunity to help me. He is funny, or at least thinks he is which makes me laugh. He is responsible and hardworking. He never lets me forget that he loves me.
3-Whats your secret to a happy marriage...
communication. NO we are not great at it.. but if I have learned anything in our first year of marriage its that I need to tell him what I want, or feel because he is not going to figure it out and visa versa.

Happy Friday! My poor husband is pretty sick. I have a feeling we are going to be spending the weekend watching movie after movie. sounds perfect to me.
