A few weekends ago I was able to fly out to New York for a photoshoot of some friends in the city before they moved home to Utah. After miraculously making it onto the flight on my first try... (I was flying standby, the flight was full with something like 25 people ahead of me on the stand by list, I was in complete shock as my name was called to board.. I hadn't even given Mitch a proper goodbye... I recall telling him "see you in 20 min") I arrived bright and early, took a taxi and greeted Tosh as her alarm clock at 7am. My first day was very low key.. I was exhausted from the Red Eye flight (remember how I vowed to never take another one of those? I think I will say that every time) We grabbed some food after laying around all morning, saw a movie in the coolest theater and walked the High Line that night.. Probably one of the highlights of the trip was the High Line. They have done such a good job with it.. you completely feel like you are out of the busy city. We grabbed some Thai food for dinner and ended the night in Times Square. Call me a true tourist, I love Time Square. The lights are beautiful and all the energy is addicting. my feet h.u.r.t. and the dressed up Elmo wouldn't leave me alone so we called it a night and headed home.
I realized while going through my pictures that I was behind the camera basically all day... I was snap happy that first day. So much to take pictures of! I was in heaven.
( I am secretly jealous of this couple.. no idea who they are. I was actually just testing my lighting and captured this. I love it. )
( After handing my camera to several people that looked trust worthy, we gave up on getting a good shot and pulled out the good ol Iphone.. big cameras intimidate people lol)
