THE SEARLES

Can this week go any slower?! We will be heading out bright and early Thursday morning for a weekend in Cali to celebrate Mitch's dad's 50th Birthday! We are all very excited for a much needed mini vaca... (Anyone got any ideas for "must do's" in the LA area?) 6 flags, Hollywood and the beach are on the to do list. Sadley... Disneyland didnt make the cut :) Appearantly I am the only one that finds that place "The Happiest Place on Earth"  in our family.

In other random thoughts... is it really already the middle of August? Does school REALLY start next week? I dread. No, I will not be attending... but its always a bummer when husband is strapped down by homework after 8 long hours at work. On the flip side, I could not be ANY sicker of the 90+ degree weather. Im ready for cooler days, but will miss our nice evening walks. While out shopping yesterday with Nicole I couldnt help but see all the Fall decor, clothes and Halloween items appearing in stores. IM SO EXCITED. My heart got all giddy while sniffing all the new fall scents at Bath and Body Works. It took all the power I had not to buy a pumpkin candle holder.... husband would have frowned. He, along with the rest of the world besides my mother, thinks Im crazy for wanting fall here.
