I feel like I have been MIA from the blogging world. Our Christmas holiday was jammed packed with running around from hospital to family to work to hospital to family. With very little "chill" time in-between. Which was usually used for sleeping or Christmas shopping. Before we get into Christmas let me show you what 95% of our holiday consisted of...
My brother had his appendix burst about 2.5 weeks ago.. He had surgery and came home 2 days later... However, a week later he was not improving at all.. in fact getting worse. To make a long story short he ended up back in the hospital with an infection for a week.. including over Christmas. Mitch and I spent many late nights hanging out in the hospital room watching 24 or Psych, playing Tic-Tac-Toe and Pictionary. He was a very miserable boy.
22 pounds lighter... many blood tests, CT scans and infection flushes later.. he was able to come home the day after Christmas. He is doing SO much better and was even able to come to Nicole and Tyler's Wedding luncheon yesterday. We are all very grateful for the improvement and hope he can make a full recovery soon.
